Major Construction Project in N.E. Africa

June 10th 2010

The largest single order received at Parker Plant for several years sees the finalisation of a major construction project within a landlocked area of North East Africa where first quality materials are currently not readily available.

The supplied equipment will serve to improve and develop the infrastructure projects within the Southern Sudan area and is centred on the establishment of a completely new hard rock quarry installation for the manufacture of road-stone materials and building products.

Sited close to the city of Juba, the Parker plants and equipment supplied to site consist of a fixed 500tph, 4 stage, Crushing, Screening and Stockpiling plant; A 200tph static T2300 Transmix Asphalt Mixing and Storage plant; An 80m³; per hour Sitemix Concrete Batching plant and a 250tph mobile sand Screening and Stockpiling plant.

The commissioning of the main Crushing and Screening plant is now completed and the products stockpiled in readiness for the Asphalt and Concrete plants to come on stream in the next few weeks.
